Amplified Memory

Träume, wiederkehrende Muster, Erinnerungen, Wünsche, die Frage nach der Realität oder schlicht die Sehnsucht nach den unerforschten Weiten des Universums: Mit diesen Dingen beschäftigen sich AMPLIFIED MEMORY und verarbeiten sie in ihrer eigenen musikalischen Vorstellung von Melodic Death Metal. Seit 2008 bespielt die sechsköpfige, junge Band aus München die Bühnen von überwiegend Süd- und Mitteldeutschland. Ausgehend von den Anfängen schwedischen Melodic Death Metals beschlossen sie ihren eigenen Stil zu finden.

War ihr Debütalbum „The Ever Spinning Wheel“ (2013), welches von Fans und Presse positiv aufgenommen wurde und zu dem mit „Drowning the Appetence“ ein Musikvideo veröffentlicht wurde, noch stark und fast ausschließlich vom jenem klassischen Melodic Death Metal der Göteborger Schule geprägt, erweiterten sie ihren Stil nach und nach mit zahlreichen Elementen aus dem Progressive und Black Metal, ohne dabei ihre ursprünglichen Stärken aufzugeben: zweistimmige Gitarrenläufe, kraftvolle Growls, mitreißende Melodien, atmosphärische Keyboardpassagen sowie ausgefeilte Riffs. Egal ob langsame, doomig angehauchte, schwarzmetallische Balladen, stampfende Midtempo-Songs oder schnelle Death-Kracher - AMPLIFIED MEMORY stehen für eine innovative Mischung aus verschiedenen Metal-Subgenres mit Schwerpunkt auf 90er Jahre Melodic Death Metal.

Ende des Jahres wird voraussichtlich ihr zweites Album erscheinen, welches in den Dreamsound Studios (u.a. auch Obscura, Graveworm, Serenity, Edenbridge, Emergency Gate, …) aufgenommen wurde und von dem sie bereits einige Songs live präsentieren können.

Dreams, recurring patterns, reminiscences, desires, the question about reality or simply the longing for the vast, undiscovered universe: All these things are in the focus of AMPLIFIED MEMORY, who work them up in their own musical conception of melodic death metal. Since 2008 the young six-person band has played on the stages of mainly South and Central Germany. Based on the beginnings of Swedish melodic death metal they decided to find their own style.

While their debut album “The Ever Spinning Wheel” (2013), which was well received by fans and the press and for which a music video of the song “Drowning the Appetence” was released, was still and almost exclusively influenced by this classical Gothenburg melodic death, they expanded their style gradually by numerous elements of progressive and black metal without giving up their original strengths: dual guitar lines, powerful growls, beautiful melodies, atmospheric keyboards and elaborate riffs. Regardless of whether the songs are doom/black metal ballads, stomping midtempo beasts or fast death metal - AMPLIFIED MEMORY stand for an innovative mixture of different metal subgenres with a focus on 90’s melodic death metal.

Their second album, which was recorded at Dreamsound Studios (i.a. Obscura, Graveworm, Serenity, Edenbridge, Emergency Gate, …) and from which they can already present some songs live, is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.
